BOUDREAU, Joseph Lloyd — 59, of Arichat, passed away peacefully with his family by his side, after a short battle with cancer, on March 8, 2010, in Strait Richmond Hospital, Evanston. Born in Halifax, he was the son of the late Raphael and Alma (Samson) Boudreau. After graduation from high school, he worked at the pulp mill for several years then he started his career in the oil business for over 35 years with different companies and then formed a company with partnership known as Boudreau's Fuels Ltd. Lloyd loved to work with the public and was well-known for his generosity and loyalty towards others, which made him the kind and loving person that he was. Lloyd was a member of Our Lady of Assumption Parish, DIMA, Isle Madame Tourism Association and Isle Madame Tourism and Trade. He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Viola; daughter, Daphne of Arichat; son, Stephen and grandson, Eric of Petit De Grat; brothers, Raymond (Shirley) Boudreau of Arichat; Kenneth (Evie) Boudreau of Arichat; sister-in-law, Theresa (Dominic) Antle, Prince Edward Island; Catherine of Newfoundland, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father and mother, Ralph and Alma Boudreau and mother and father-in-law, Clifford and Maggie Bell Landry. Visitation will take place on Wednesday, March 10th from 2-9 p.m. in I.M.L. Funeral Home, Petit De Grat. Mass of farewell will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 11, 2010 in Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church, Arichat. Memorial donations may be made to Strait Richmond Hospital, Palliative Care, Saint Anne's Community & Nursing Care Centre, Arichat, or a charity of choice.
