He leaves behind many people and children with whom he had a special bond. He was predeceased by his parents Leo and Genevieve (Lainey) Dennis; siblings, Patsy, Jerry, Douglas, Tommy, Audrey, Leonard and Jean.
Ted worked at Bell Aliant for 31 years as a business tech and a network technician. Everyone who met Ted took an instant liking to him. He had a “large” personality and made everyone feel as special as he was himself. Ted always had a big smile on his face and was always teasing his co-workers, family and friends. He loved to laugh and made everyone around him laugh and feel loved. Often, he was teased about how organized everything around him had to be. Ted had all the time in the world for his friends and never refused to help anyone in need.
He truly enjoyed gardening and had a green thumb which showed every year as he took great pride in his yard. He was also talented at woodworking and completed many projects over the years. Many hearts have been saddened forever, you will never be forgotten.
Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Ted’s life will be held at St. Benedict’s Roman Catholic Church, 45 Radcliffe St, Halifax on Friday, March 6, 2015 at 10:30am with Father James Mallon officiating. Interment of cremains will be held at a later date and will be announced at that time.
Memorial donations may be made to the Brain Injury Association of Nova Scotia or to the IWK. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to IML Funeral Services, D’Escousse. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.imlfuneralhome.com
