Reta Clark Obituary

Clark (nee MacDonald), Reta A- On Saturday, September 02, 2017, the Lord received into His hands the soul of Reta Anne, beloved wife of Ron and precious mother of Charlotte (Craig Minard) and Trevor (Bonnie MacLean). Reta was born in Charlottetown PEI on August 12, 1946, the daughter of the late Lorne and Alice MacDonald. In addition to her husband and children, she is survived by her brother Allan, Charlottetown and sister, Lorna (Michael Holloway), Halifax. As homemaker, she was a wonderful helpmate to her husband in every avenue, especially in his pastoral role and as a loving and caring mother to their children. Reta was a talented lady and was affectionately referenced by her family as "crafty" because of her ability to do pretty well any craft to which she put her hand. She dearly loved her grandchildren, Ethan, Lindsey, Jared, Tobias, and Morgan, who called her "Nannie Treatie", and treasured her time with them, capturing much of it in pictures, which she recorded in the scrap books she prepared for each of them. She loved and reverenced her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ and God in Him, willing to serve as called upon in accordance with His will. Her faith was demonstrated in practical ways also as she was always willing to lend a helping hand to others and to serve in volunteer work, all to the glory of God. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. Visitation will be held Tuesday September 5, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in Sweeny’s Funeral Home Chapel. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday September 6, 2017 at 2 p.m. with Pastor Craig Minard officiating. Interment will follow in Chegoggin Cemetery with a reception following the burial at Overton Baptist Church.
