THORNHILL: James “Jim” November 12, 1942 – January 12, 2017 Suddenly, while vacationing in Florida, James (Jim) Franklin Thornhill, in his 75th year, passed away January 12, 2017. He is survived by his wife Rhona (McEachern), daughters Janice (Greg) Snow and Deborah. Proud Popa of Madison, Paisley and Carter. Survived by siblings Yvonne, Shirley, Herb (Eileen), Pat, Albert (Joyce), Lynn, sister-in-law Norma and extended family. Predeceased by brother Ray. Jim was a life member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 197 and a life member of the Acton Fire Fighters Association. Retired employee of Ford Motor Co. (Bramalea). Friends will be received at the Royal Canadian Legion, 15 Wright Avenue, Acton on Saturday, February 4, 2017 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., followed by a Celebration of Life at one o’clock. In lieu of flowers, donations to Knox Presbyterian Church, Acton or the Acton Fire Fighters Association (Santa Claus Parade) would be appreciated.
