Andries Wielenga

Wielenga, Andries “Andy” born April 21, 1933 in Tzum, Friesland, The Netherlands, passed away at the Trenton Memorial Hospital on Sunday, April 11th, 2010, age 76 years. Andy Wielenga of Brighton, beloved husband of Marjorie (Hilwerda). Loving father of Trudie and her husband John Aandewiel, Alan Wielenga and his wife Hannah, Barbara and her husband Stewart Hoekstra, and Laura and her husband Matthew Kilfoil. Predeceased by his brothers, Bauke and Sietse Wielenga, and sisters, Geertje terLuin, Pietje Nammensma, Sietske Norbruis, and Baukje Wielenga. Remaining in the Netherlands is sister Klaske and her husband Rommert Jorritsma, brother Johannes Wielenga, and sister Marie. Sadly missed by his twelve grandchildren and his many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the Walas Funeral Home, 130 Main Street, Brighton on Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. Service at the Fellowship Christian Reformed Church, Brighton on Thursday, April 15th, 2010 at 1:30 p.m. Interment Hilton Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation, would be appreciated by the family.
