Barbara Roy

ROY, Barbara Elizabeth (nee – O’Neil) – Passed away peacefully at the Belleville General Hospital, surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, July 6th, 2014. She was 86. Daughter of the late William and Alva O’Neil (nee Jeffers). Beloved wife of the late Gerald Roy (Aug. 28th, 2004). Barbara leaves her children: Robert (Nina), David (Jean), Nancy, and Alan (Alice). Pre-deceased by one sister and three brothers, survived by her three sisters: Kitty, Billie, Anna, brother-in-law Wally and sisters-in-law: Jean, Doris and Vicki. Loving grandmother to Jesse (Landy), Becky (Tom), Brendan (Anna), Alison, Vicky (Graham), Wendy, Jennifer, Erika (Keith), Alec and 9 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held at the John R. Bush Funeral Home, 80 Highland Ave., Belleville (613-968-5588) on Thursday, July 10th, 2014 from 2-4 & 7-9p.m. Funeral service will be held in the chapel on Friday, July 11th, 2014 at 11:00a.m. Cremation to follow. Inurnment at the Belleville Cemetery will take place at a later date. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Coady, the staff at BGH and ParaMed and Barbara’s wonderful neighbours and friends.
