WOOD, Carl Ferris- It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Carl Wood after a valiant battle with cancer. Carl Wood, of Belleville, was in his 91st year. Son of the late Everett and Flossie Wood. Predeceased by his loving wife Laurel Wood and his sister Aneita Derry. Much loved father of Elizabeth and Lynn. Survived by his brother-in-law Robert Derry, niece Susan O’Coin and nephew Allan Derry. Loving partner of Linda Rutherford (and her children Mark, Kathleen and Heather). Carl was a longtime employee of Nortel Networks. He had a great passion for golf and was an avid dancer. He lived life to the fullest and will be fondly remembered by his many friends. In keeping with Carl’s wishes, cremation arrangements have been made with JOHN R. BUSH FUNERAL HOME, 80 Highland Ave. Belleville (613-968-5588). Family interment will be held at the Belleville Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Belleville General Hospital Foundation are appreciated by the family.
