BENSON: Doris Katherine Formerly of Belleville in her 93rd year, entered into rest at Extendicare Port Hope on Saturday January 28th, 2012. Dear daughter of the late Roy Messervey & the late Florence Allen. Beloved wife of the late John Frederick Benson. Cherished Mother of Dennis Benson (Denise) of Cobourg, Gary Benson (Diane) of Peterborough, Robert Benson of Vancouver and Kenneth Benson (Paula Davis) of Toronto. Will be dearly missed by her grandchildren; Heather (Steve), Andrew, Rebecca (late husband Fred Spruit), Rob (Tina), Shelley, Gillian (Hunter), Kelly, Victoria and 8 great grandchildren. Also remembered by her sister-in-law Audrey Messervey and many nieces and nephews. Doris was predeceased by her brothers; Roy Messervey (late wife Ruby) and Gordon Messervey. Funeral Service will be held at the Belleville Funeral Home and Chapel, 68 North Front Street, Belleville (613-968-5080) on Tuesday January 31st, 2012 at 2:00p.m. (with visitation prior from 12 noon -2:00p.m.) Rev. Anne-Marie Jones officiating. Interment to follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Corbyville.
