Dorothy Swanson Belleville, Ontario Obituary

Dorothy Swanson

SWANSON, Dorothy Beatrice - it is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Dorothy Swanson on Wednesday, January 18th, 2012. Beloved wife of the late H.J. (Bud) Swanson. Daughter of the late Harry and Alice Mason and predeceased by her two brothers and three sisters. Dorothy will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Sharon Hawkins and Cathy Wilson; sons-in-law Frank Hawkins and Duncan Wilson; her grandson Craig and his partner Peter; and by her many friends old and new who brought smiles and fellowship to her days. We are most grateful to the staff at Bayview Retirement Home not only for the understanding attention that helped Dorothy enjoy her new environment the past two years, but for their thoughtfulness and loving care during these last difficult weeks. Our gratitude also extends to the Para-Med staff and Dorothy's family doctor, Dr. Eric Smith. Mom, Grandma, you are precious to us all. Your life will be treasured and remembered always. According to Dorothy's wishes, Cremation has taken place and there will be a Private Family Service to follow. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario would be greatly appreciated by the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to the RUSHNELL FUNERAL CENTRE, 60 Division Street, Trenton, ON.
