Yourt, Edith Cavell at the Richmond Retirement Residence, Belleville on Tuesday March 10th, 2009. Edith Cavell Yourt (nee Hunter) of the Richmond Retirement Residence and formerly of Don Mills, was in her 93rd year. Daughter of the late Alexander and Sarah Hunter. Beloved wife of the late Godfrey Reuben Yourt. Dear mother of Carol Taylor of Belleville and Judith Hoilett of Mount Currie, B.C. Loving grandmother of Philip Hoilett (Liz Baker), Sarinda Hoilett (Philipe Guibert), Sheri-Anne Taylor, Mark Taylor (Erica) and great grandchildren Zachary, Claire, Ruben and Jaya. Predeceased by sisters Mary Pearson, Jean Halliday and brothers Alec Hunter, Richard Hunter, Don Hunter and Charles Hunter. Lovingly remembered by her nieces and nephews. Edith was a Founding member of the Donalda Club in Toronto, a competitive curler and golfer into her late 70's. Friends are invited to call at the John R. Bush Funeral Home, 80 Highland Ave. Belleville (613-968-5588) on Friday evening from 7-9 p.m. and on Saturday from 1-2 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Saturday March 14th, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. Cremation.
