Eric Francis Emerson May 16th, 1938 – June 2nd, 2014 Passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of his family at the Belleville General Hospital. Son of the late Ed and Marie Emerson of Halloway Heights. Beloved husband of Connie and the late Sharon. Loving father of Stephen Emerson (Barbara), Michael Emerson (Ann), Kathy Emerson (Bill Sills), Lori Tapp (Chris) and step-father of Carrie Lortie-Ostrom (Don), Kelli Walsh, and Ryan Walsh (Krissy). He leaves behind five grandchildren; Danny, Andrew, Benjamin, Curtis and Erin, Six step-grandchildren; Courtney, Mathieu, Emilie, Nicholas, Bret, and Megan. Lovingly remembered by his siblings John (Carolyn), Raymond (Edna), Paul (Barbara), and Ann Casselman (Terry). Eric will be greatly missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Eric worked for many years at Canadian Tire, Canada Transport, then opened up his own business Emerson’s Garage on Mudcat Lane in Foxboro, closing up shop upon his retirement. Friends are invited to call at the John R. Bush Funeral Home, 80 Highland Ave., Belleville (613-968-5588) on Wednesday, June 4th, 2014 from 2-4p.m. and 7-9p.m. Visitation will also take place one hour prior to the service. Funeral service will be held in the chapel on Thursday, June 5th, 2014 at 1:00p.m. Interment to follow at Foxboro Cemetery.
