GEORGIOU, Evangelia “Eva” passed away peacefully with her family by her side at the Belleville General Hospital on Saturday June 18th, 2011, at the age of 84. Loving daughter of the late Nicos and Koula Kayaras. Beloved wife and companion of Emmanuel Georgiou. Dear mother of Chris Georgiou (Vicki McCulloch). Survived by her siblings Maria “Mary” Fortis (late Hercules), Dennis Kagiaras (Joanne), and John Kayaras (Lois). Proud yiayia of Emmanuel “James” Georgiou. Also remembered by her nieces and nephews Sunday Sbrozzi, Sava Fortis, Mike Fortis, Koula Kagiaras, and Nick Kagiaras. The family will receive friends at the JOHN R. BUSH FUNERAL HOME 80 Highland Ave., Belleville (613-968-5588) on Monday from 7-9 p.m. Service will be held from Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church Tuesday June 21st, 2011 at 11a.m. with visitation one hour prior to service from 10 – 11a.m. at the church. Father Anatoliy Bandura officiating. Interment Belleville Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the BGH Foundation or the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated. A special thanks to the nurses and doctors on the 5th floor of Belleville General Hospital for their care.
