Aver, Florence Delosa peacefully at the Belleville General Hospital on Sunday, November 14th, 2010, after a brief illness, age 86 years. Florence Aver, Applefest Lodge, Brighton, daughter of the late Norton and Nina Walker. Beloved wife of the late Robert Seymour Aver. Dear mother of Scott Aver, Marilyn and Brian Miron, Barbara and James Massey, Douglas and Aisha Aver, and daughter-in-law Shirley Aver. Predeceased by her son Peter Aver, her great grandson Jack William Miron Bateman, her two sisters and her four brothers. Sadly missed by her many grandchildren, great grandchildren. Florence was active for many years as a volunteer at Proctor House. She was one of the founding members of the Meals on Wheels program with Trinity St. Andrew’s United Church in Brighton and delivered meals with the program until she was 75 years young. She was the recipient of the Citizen of the Year Award in Brighton in the 1990’s for her many contributions and commitment to the community. A private family service will be held at a later date. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Breakfast Program at your local school, or to your local Food Bank, would be appreciated by the family.
