Matchett, Francis Harvey (member of The Princess of Wales Regiment) passed peacefully at his home in Codrington, Ontario on Sunday, April 11th, 2010, age 78 years. Frank Matchett, son of the late Edward Harvey Matchett and the late Ellen Kathleen (Blades). Beloved husband of the late Sylvia Jean (Booth). Loving father of Elizabeth and her husband Ray Payette of Codrington, and Cameron Matchett and his wife Geraldine Chatzikirou of Stayner. Frank will be sadly missed by his grandchildren, Ashley, Drew, Brett, Jordan, and Nicholas. His loss will also be deeply felt by his nieces and nephews Rodney, Beverly and Douglas and by longtime friend Richard Hanninen. Many thanks go out to dear friends Liana Palmer, Beverly Rowe, Dan Walker, Patricia McCurdy and his numerous friends at the Codrington Community Centre for helping to make his latter years full. “Grandpa” and his ability to fix anything that the rest of the family broke can not be replaced. A celebration of Frank’s life will be held at 175 Grosjean Road, Codrington, on Saturday, May 15th, 2010 at 2 o’clock.
