MacDonald, George Elvin – It is with great sadness, we announce the passing of George at the Bridge St. Retirement Residence on Sunday, January 28th, 2018. George MacDonald, long-time resident of Belleville was 81. Son of the late George C. MacDonald “Mickey” and Vera MacDonald (nee Ibey). Beloved husband of the late Ruth MacDonald (1995). Loving father to Debbie Hyland (John) of Belleville and Robert MacDonald (Cynthia) of Brampton. Survived by sister Joan Gibb of Burlington and sister-in-law Beth Burns (Paul) of Tamworth. Devoted grandpa to Matthew (Kelly), Rebekah (John), Jeanette (Rick), Katherine (Ian), Bobby (Stephanie), Grace, Ryan and great-grandpa to Dylan, Alyssa, Logan, Madison, Jacqueline, Emma, Sage. Fondly remembered by friend Ivan Bruce. Friends are invited to call at the John R. Ryan McNally officiating. Interment at Victoria Cemetery, Plainfield in the spring. George enjoyed his volunteer work and his church community.
