PITMAN, Georgia- Passed away peacefully at the Bridge Street Retirement Residence on Monday August 23rd, 2010. Georgia Pitman of Belleville at the age of 101. Daughter of the late Edward & Ida Pitman. Sister of the late Jack Pitman and Jean Post. Predeceased by infant sister Evalena and brother James. Lovingly remembered by Joan Young of Belleville, Cathy Rossit and her nieces and nephews Edward (Kim) Post, Shirley (Kermit) Stevens all of California and Richard Post of Washington State. Born and educated in Huntington Township, she was employed by MacIntosh Brothers, retiring in 1985. Loyal member of the Royal Canadian Legion- Ladies Auxillary & Seniors Club, the Canada-USA Club #359 and longtime member and supporter of Bridge Street United Church. At the request of Georgia there will be no visitation. Cremation to take place. A memorial service will be held at the JOHN R. BUSH FUNERAL HOME, 80 Highland Ave. Belleville (613-968-5588) on Thursday August 26th, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. Interment at Luke’s Cemetery at a later date.
