SINE, Illa Margaret – Passed away peacefully at the Stirling Manor Nursing Home on Tuesday, January 26th, 2016 in her 94th year. Daughter of the late George and Mary Phillips. Pre-deceased by her beloved husband G. Edison Sine. Loving mother to Monica Hunter (John) of Vancouver, B.C., and Elaine Elliott (Bill) of Lindsay, Ont. Predeceased by her son Robert Edison. Survived by her brother Doug Phillips (Phyllis). Illa is pre-deceased by her sisters Audrey Morley (late Tom), Reta McInroy (late Pete), and by brothers Gordon (late Zeta), Elvin Phillips, and sister-in-law Nina Sine. She will be remembered by her sisters-in-law Eloise Clare (late George), Verna Wright (late Jim), and brother-in-law Grenville Sine (June). Illa will be missed by grandchildren; Jason Hunter (Sarah) of Milton, Gregory Hunter (Sarah) of Toronto, Alex Hunter (Sarah) of Vancouver, Andrew Hunter of Vancouver, Scott Elliott (Kelly) of Peterborough, Janine Elliott of Barrie and by great-grandchildren; Cameron, Charlie, Hayden, Evie and Madison Hunter, and Scarlett, Wesley and Jackson Elliott. Also remembered by many nieces, nephews and by special friends Jim and Penny Bateman. Illa was a lifetime member of the Eastern Star – Minerva Chapter and the Women’s Institute. Funeral Service will be held at the Belleville Funeral Home & Chapel Ltd., 68 N. Front St., Belleville (613-968-5080) on Wednesday, February 3rd, 2016 at 12noon (with visitation one hour prior from 11:00a.m. – 12noon). Interment in Sine Cemetery beside husband G. Edison Sine.
