Lawrence O'Connor

O’CONNOR, Lawrence Vincent (Larry) of Brighton, Ontario, in his 72nd year. Larry passed away peacefully at Cobourg General Hospital on January 20, 2012, surrounded by his family. Beloved husband of Donna for 46 years, devoted and loving father of Lisa (Mike), Sault Ste Marie, and Shannon (Tom) of Whitby. Adoring grandfather of Emma (Shannon and Tom). Predeceased by brothers Peter, Charles, and Dennis (Doc). Brother of Jim (Veronica) of Palmer Rapids, Terry (Dolores) of North Bay, Peggy of Perth, and Betty (Owen) of Belleville. Larry finished his 31-year career as a Sergeant with the Brighton detachment of the OPP, and had many years of enjoyable retirement camping, as a woodworker, and injecting himself and his humour into the Brighton community. A celebration of Larry’s life will begin Monday, January 23rd, with visitation at Walas Funeral Home, 130 Main Street West, Brighton, from 2-4PM and 7-9PM. Service at Brighton Evangel Pentecostal Church, 30 Butler Street West, on Tuesday, January 24th, at 2PM. Interment Mount Hope Cemetery. If desired, expressions of sympathy as donations to the Brighton Evangel Pentecostal Church or to the Finding the Hope campaign via the Brighton Pentecostal Church are appreciated.
