ELLIS, Macdonald Walter “Mac” (30 year employee of Glanmore National Historic Site) – It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Macdonald at his residence in Belleville on Friday, September 9th, 2016 at the age of 69. Son of Kathrine (nee Winter) and the late Harry Ellis. Beloved husband to Ann Ellis (nee Clapper). Loving father to Cindy Tripp (Dennis) of Alberta, Darren Tripp, and Todd Tripp (Donna). Pre-deceased by his children Peter Tripp and Kelly Tripp. Survived by daughter-in-law Kim of Belleville, sisters Betty Parr (Bob), Nancy Legacey, Marion Sowa (Mark) and brothers Ted Ellis (Sheila), Jim Ellis (Brenda). He will be sadly missed by his grandchildren Blue, Desiree, Ann and great-grandchildren Logan, Haley, Shayla and Taylor. Cremation arrangements entrusted to the John R. Bush Funeral Home, 80 Highland Ave., Belleville (613-968-5080). A celebration of his life will be held at the Eastminster United Church, 432 Bridge St. E., Belleville on Tuesday, September 20th, 2016 at 11:00a.m. (with visitation one hour prior to the service). Rev. Frank Hamper officiating. Macdonald’s ashes will be interred in the Belleville Cemetery Niche Wall at a later date.
