Caputo, Maria peacefully at the Maplewood Nursing Home, Brighton on Sunday October 30th, 2011. Maria Caputo (nee Sonsogno) of Brighton, was in her 92nd year. Daughter of the late Michael and Orsula Sonsogno. Beloved wife of the late Salvatore Caputo. Dear Mother of Anna Caputo of Brighton, Ida Minardi (John) of Aurora and Mario Caputo (Shirley Little) of Hocley Valley. Predeceased by her son Enzo Caputo. Loving grandmother to Sam Minardi and wife Emily, Ann Marie Minardi, Ursula Thomson and James Thomson. Sister to Annina Stefanizzi of Italy, and Vincenzio Sonsogno and wife Maria of Mississauga. Predeceased by several sisters and brothers. The family will receive friends at the Walas Funeral Home, 130 Main St. Brighton (613-475-2121) on Tuesday from 5-9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Angels Roman Catholic Church, Brighton on Wednesday November 2, 2011 at 11 a.m. Interment at Heavenly Rest Cemetery, Windsor on Thursday November 3rd, 2011 at 11 a.m. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the charity of choice would be appreciated by the family.
