Eckert, Mary Elaine at the Belleville General Hospital on Saturday, December 15th, 2012, age 78 years. Elaine Eckert, formerly of St. Catharines, daughter of the late John “Jack” Frederick Bethel and the late Lila Mae (McCann). Beloved wife of the late Morris Robert “Bud” Eckert. Loving mother of Mary-Jo and her husband Harold Tracy of Spring Bay, Cheryl Ann Rix and her husband Geoffrey Barrow of Frankford, and Mark Eckert and his wife Jodie of Cochrane, Alberta. Sister of Don Bethel (Jean) of St. Catharines. Sadly missed by her grandchildren Christine (Jamie), Michael (Andrea), Karen, Jocelyn, Kaeli, and her five great grandchildren. Elaine’s gift was being a mother, a woman of never ending unconditional love for her family. She was an active member of St. Andrew’s United Church, St. Catharines, Port Dalhousie, serving as UCW President, chairperson of Worship Committee and many other activities. The family will receive friends at Pleasantview Memorial Gardens, Fonthill on Thursday, December 20th, 2012 from 1:30 p.m. Service to follow at 2:30 p.m. Interment Pleasantview Memorial Gardens.
