AKEY, Morley Wallace (WWII Veteran) (December 17th, 1921 – October 4th, 2012) - passed away peacefully at Moira Place in Tweed at the age of 90, with family at his side. Beloved husband of many years to his late wife Verna Akey, who were married in 1946. Loving son of the late Wellie and Nellie Akey. Dear father of Kathy Schembri and her husband David of Carrying Place. Survived by his youngest brother Ross Akey and his wife Barbara. Cherished grandfather of Kayla and Jessie Schembri. Predeceased by his two brothers Denzil (aka Chris) and Maxwell (who also served in WWII). Morley grew up in Pointe Anne and moved to Belleville where he was a respected employee of Canada Cement Lafarge until retirement. Morley was also a lifelong member of the Masonic Lodge in Belleville. The family will receive friends at the BELLEVILLE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL 68 North Front St., Belleville (613-968-5080) on Monday from 7-9p.m. Service will be held in the chapel on Tuesday October 9th, 2012 at 11a.m. Rev.
