Ralph Arnold Swan April 30th, 1929 - January 25th, 2020 Peacefully entered rest at Providence Care Hospital, Kingston, Ontario January 25th, 2020 in his 91st year after a year and a half hospitalization due to an accident. Loving husband of Shirley Swan (Foster) for 61 years and father of Heather Swan-Jones (Ken Jones) of Leonardtown Maryland, Lori Newman (Scott) of Belleville and Janet Oka (Kelly) of Ottawa. Cherished grandfather to Emily MacDonald (Bobby), Andrew Jones, Andrea Newman, Amanda Newman, Olivia Oka and Graydon Oka. Dear son of the late Gerald and Keitha Swan. Loving brother to Wilma Huffman, Corbyville; Muriel McGee, Ottawa; Audrey Bulmer (Gordon), Oshawa; Bruce Swan, Plainfield; brother-in-law Duane Martin, Kingston; Ivan Clare, Stirling, Vernon Colby, Alliston and Gary Boyles, Toronto. Dear step-brother of Catherine Clarke (Ted), Lindsay; Colleen Gorman (Eric), Nepean and Jean Tomaso, Arnprior. Predeceased by sisters Erma Martin; Wanda Clare; Beryl Colby; Mona Ray and Blanche Swan and Brother in laws Carman Huffman; Jim Ray; Milton McGee and Sister-in-law Gloria Swan. Active member of St. Mark’s United Church, Cannifton; the Quinte Friendship Moira Chapter, Royal Arch Masons, No. 7, G.R.C., Belleville, and the Belleville and District Shrine Club. Mr. Swan is resting at the John R. Bush Funeral Home, 80 Highland Avenue, Belleville (613-968-5588) for visitation on Friday, February 7th from 2-4 p.m. & 7-9 p.m. and again on Saturday morning from 10:00 a.m. until service time. Funeral Service in the Chapel on Saturday, February 8th, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Kate Ann Follwell and Rev. Ryan McNally officiating. Cremation with inurnment in the spring at Belleville Cemetery.
