KEW, Trevor Alfred - (Served in Royal Canadian Navy) Passed away at the Belleville General Hospital on the early morning of Saturday, October 3rd, 2015 at the age of 89. Son of the late Ernest and Olwen Kew. He is pre-deceased by his wife Norma Winnifred Kew (nee Crawford). Trevor is survived by sister Betty Wellman (Ralph) of Springbrook, and brother Ronald Kew (Carmencita) of Caracas, Venezuela. Pre-deceased by sister Megan Elsey (Harold) of Belleville and brother Elwyn Kew (Audrey) of Toronto. Lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews. After WWII, he joined the Department of External Affairs, Ottawa. In semi-retirement, Trevor farmed near North Gower, ON then owned Bates Beach Fishing Lodge in Courtenay, B.C. Trevor and Norma retired to the Belleville area in 1990. They were members of St. Mark’s Anglican Church, Bonarlaw, ON. In keeping with Trevor’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no formal service. Arrangements entrusted to the John R. Bush Funeral Home, 80 Highland Ave., Belleville (613-968-5588). Interment will take place in his family’s plot in the Beechwood Cemetery, Ottawa at a later date. The family would like to express heartfelt gratitude to Sue Brix for her professionalism and kindness.
