Elizabeth Verhagen

Mom has ended her earthly journey and she entered into the Kingdom of Heaven on Tuesday, February 11, 2020. Elizabeth “Bets” Cornelia Verhagen, in her 92nd year. Dear mother of Mary (Doug) Knight, Agnes (Frank) Hebb, Helena (Mike) Jones, Case (Linda), Elizabeth (John) Nyholt, Joanne (Farley) Rattray, Wilma (Jeff) VanSegbrook. Oma / Grandmother to 16, Great-Grandmother to 15. Predeceased by her beloved husband Clarence in 1972 and brothers Case and Walt. Bets is survived by her sister Agnes Huls, brothers John (Sandy), Joe (Idali) and William (Pauline), her sister-in-law Mina and many nieces and nephews. Many thanks to the team on Chestnut Court at St Joseph’s Lifecare Centre for their kind and compassionate care and support to Bets and her children as she journeyed through the final stages of Alzheimer’s. A service in Remembrance of Bets will take place on Friday, February 14, 2020 at 11:30 a.m. at Hope Christian Reformed Church, 64 Buchanan Crescent, Brantford. A reception and opportunity to visit with family to follow. A private family interment will take place prior to the Funeral Service.
