The family announces with great sorrow the passing of Howard Nelson on Thursday, August 15, 2019 in his 91st year. Beloved husband of the late Lauretta Nelson (nee Woodley-2001). Dear father of Nancy Houle (Greg), Rodney Nelson (Sherrill), Linda Campbell (late Wayne), Carl Nelson (Susan) and Shelley Mordue (Daryl). Loving grandpa of Richard, Emily, Lisa, Sarah, Alex, Sam, Charles, Cassandra and Nicole, as well as 6 great-grandchildren. Also survived by his brother Russell, sister Nellie Caughill, many nieces, nephews and their families. Predeceased by his parents Richard and Zella Nelson, brothers Reg, Jack, Everett, Ed, William, James and sister Ruth Ann. Howard worked at Cockshutt & White Farm for 33 years. Friends will be received at the TOLL FUNERAL HOME, 55 Charing Cross Street, Brantford on Tuesday, August 20, 2019 from 6 – 8 pm. and Wednesday from 12 noon – 1 pm. with the service to follow in the chapel. Interment Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society in memory of Lauretta or the charity of your choice appreciated.
