Kent Hutchinson

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Kent Hutchinson, on September 3, 2019. Kent passed away peacefully at home in his 80th year after a brave battle with brain cancer. He was deeply loved and will be forever missed by his wife of more than 55 years Joanne, his children Robin, Lori (Michael), Kara (Ryan), his beloved grandchildren Zoe, Calum, Luke, Marley, Macy, Sadie and Connor, his sister Karen (Richard) Schram, in-laws Linda and Laird Elcombe, Barbara Parkin, and his many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Kent was predeceased by his brother-in-law Keith, brother Kim and sister-in-law Susan. Kent was an educator in Brantford for 35 years. He will be missed by the congregation and choir of First Baptist Church and his many friends from golfing, curling, pool and bridge. Kent will be forever remembered for his hearty laugh, huge smile and competitive spirit. Kent’s favourite moments were spent with his family. His pride in his children and grandchildren was evident to all and we enjoyed his countless stories and memories. His wife and family wish to express their gratitude to the caring support team at LIHN and Stedman Community Hospice. Family and friends will be received at the TOLL FUNERAL HOME, 55 Charing Cross Street, Brantford on Friday, September 6, 2019 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm.
