Passed away peacefully at the Brockville General Hospital, Garden St., on Thursday, May 14, 2015 at the age of 90 years. Beloved husband of Hermien (Bade) Pijl. Cherished father of Yvonne (Michael) Donovan, Renee (Andrew) Brunsting and Allan (Stephanie) Pyl. Loving grandfather of 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Dear brother of Saakje. He was predeceased by a grandson Shawn Pyl, 4 brothers and 8 sisters.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel, 4 James Street East, Brockville, on Monday, May 18, 2015 from 2 - 4:30 pm. A graveside service and interment will take place at Oakland Cemetery on Tuesday, May 19th at 10 am followed by a Christian celebration of Aalzen's life at the Bethel Christian Reformed Church, 117 Windsor Dr., Brockville at 11 am. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Bethel Christian Reformed Church or the Heritage Community Christian School will be gratefully acknowledged.
