Passed away peacefully at the Brockville General Hospital on Saturday, October 28, 2017, at the age of 78 years. Barry is survived by his son Jim Gillan (Diane); his grandchildren Tyler and Meagan; and by his step grandchildren Amanda, Ashley, Zach, Austin and Rob. Dear brother of Molly, Chris, Doug, Ken, Eiline, and Dorothy. Fondly remembered by Jean and her sons Steve and Chris. Predeceased by his parents Evelyn and John Gillan; a brother Robert and by his sisters Rita and Peggy.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at Irvine Funeral Home, 4 James Street East, Brockville on Thursday, November 2, 2017 from 10-11 am. A ceremony celebrating Barry's life will be held in the Chapel on Thursday at 11 am. Interment to follow at Oakland Cemetery.
