<p>Peacefully at the Kingston General Hospital on Friday, October 18 2013. Betty Patricia Lou Cowan, at the age of 83 years. Beloved wife of Lloyd Cowan, and dear mother of Brenda Cowan-Hosler (Cliff),Vicki Cowan and Douglas Cowan (Debbie).Also survived by her son-in-law Tim Burns. Cherished grandmother of Jennifer, Jeffrey,Megan,Stephanie,Stephen and Andrew and great grandmother of Brandon,Joey,Riley and J.J. Fondly remembered by her many sisters and brothers in-law and several nieces and nephews.She was predeceased by her daughter Pamela Burns her granddaughter Dawn Cowan, her parents Robert and Edith and by her ten siblings.The Cowan family would like to thank the many agencies that were able to provide independent living for them over the last few years.</p><p><br></p><p>Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel, 4 James Street East, Brockville on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A ceremony celebrating Betty's life will be held in the Chapel on Wednesday at 1.30 pm.A reception will follow As expressions of sympathy, donations to the S.M.I.L.E. Program, the Diabetes Association or the C.N.I.B. will be gratefully acknowledged.
