Portieous, Carole Lynn

Passed away peacefully at her home in Maitland, with her loving family by her side, on Thursday, February 19, 2015 at the age of 64 years. Beloved wife of Claire Donston and cherished mother of Robin Portieous, John Portieous (Marie) and Emma Hamilton (Dale). Fondly remembered by step-children Shelley Donston and Cynthia Faddoul (Mike); her grandchildren Jessee, Bailee, Carlee, Ryan, Ashley, Victoria, Emma and Elias and by her great grandchildren Austin, Alexis, Mason and Landen. Dear sister of William Close (Maureen), Diane Earl (Duane), James Close (Margaret), Ron Close (Helen) and Sharon Mallette (Percy). Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parent William and Beryl Close and her nephew Trevor Close.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel, 4 James Street East, Brockville on Sunday, February 22, 2015 from 6-8 pm and Monday, February 23, 2015 from 12-1 pm. A ceremony celebrating Carole's life will be held in the Chapel on Monday at 1 pm. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society will be gratefully acknowledged.
