Colpitts, Chesley James (Chet)

Passed away peacefully at the Brockville General Hospital on Friday, June 21, 2013 at the age of 81years. Beloved husband of the late Doris Audrey (nee Duffield). Beloved father of Karen Latimer (Randy) of Port Elgin, Debbie Cirtwell (Ray) of Brockville, Brian Colpitts (Debbie) of Algonquin, Patsy Aimer (Bob) of Cardinal, Steven Colpitts (Beth) of Brockville, Carol Saunders (Lyle) of Cardinal, and Randy Colpitts (Shelly) of Brockville. He was the most wonderful Papa to his many grandchildren, great, and great-great grandchildren. Predeceased by his parents George and Mary (Waddell) Colpitts, his sister Alma Lewis, and brothers George Colpitts Jr., and Bayne Colpitts.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel, 4 James Street East, Brockville on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A ceremony celebrating Chet's life will be held in the Chapel on Thursday at 11 am. Interment to follow at Lyn Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Brockville and District Hospital Palliative Care or to the Salvation Army will be gratefully acknowledged.
