Donald William Crooke

Passed away at the Brockville General Hospital, CSS, on Sunday, November 2, 2014 at the age of 83 years. Beloved husband and best friend of 63 years to Dorothy (Smith) Crooke. Don is survived by his loving daughters Donna Kerr (Brent) and Lisa Slater. Cherished Pop to Dustin Kerr (Ashley), Derek Kerr (Erin) and Tyler "Tobby" Kerr (Kaylee) and Grandpa to Megan Knowles (Tim) and Lindsay Ovington (Joe). Great Poppa to Braden and Emily Rae Kerr, Avery and Taylor Kerr, Leah and Max Ovington and Addison Knowles. Dear brother of Wilhelmina Steward, Lillian Mallory (late Gerald), Gerald Crooke (Marg), Shirley Drummond (late Jack), Marion Watts (late Alan) and Linda Salmon (Donnie). Also survived by his sisters-in-law Sheila Pankow (Ronnie) and Claire Crooke; numerous nieces and nephews and by his companion Ollie. Predeceased by his brother Leland Crooke; his son-in-law Randy Slater and by his brother-in-law Raymond Smith (Greta).

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at Irvine Memorial Chapel at Roselawn, 2451 County Road 15, Maitland, on Thursday, November 6, 2014 from 3-5 and 7-9 pm and Friday, November 7, 2014 from 11:30am - 12:30pm. A ceremony celebrating Don's life will be held on Friday at 1 pm in the Chapel followed by interment in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
