Metcalfe, Donald Charles "Don"

Passed away peacefully at the Brockville General Hospital, Charles St., on Monday, April 1st at the age of 85 years. Beloved husband of Jean (Thibault) Metcalfe and cherished father of Ernie Metcalfe (Heather); the late Jim Metcalfe (predeceased on Dec. 2012) and the late Barry Metcalfe (predeceased Oct. 2011). Fondly remembered by 7 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; his brother Dwaine Metcalfe (Phyllis); his sister Dorthea (Gary) Luker; his daughter-in-law Debbie Metcalfe; his brother-in-law Mel Morin and by numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by sister Leah, June and Lola and by brothers Lawrence and Stephen.

Family and friends may pay their respects at the Irvine Funeral Home, 4 James Street East, Brockville on Thursday, April 4th from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. A service in celebration of Don's life will be held in the chapel on Friday, April 5th at 11 am followed by interment at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Maitland. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the St. James Masonic Lodge, Victoria United Church, the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Cancer Society would be appreciated. Officers and members of St. James Masonic Lodge # 74, A.F. & A.M., GRC will gather for a Memorial Service on Thursday evening at 6:30 pm. All sister Lodges welcome.
