It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of a beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother on July 1, 2015 at his residence in Maitland. Donald Keith Andrew Shields, at the age of 68 years. Beloved husband of Diane Ladouceur and dear father of Trina Locke (Bill), Jason Shields (Jaime) and grandfather of Blake, Dustyn, Devyn, Olivia and Isla. Stepfather of Marcel Gemperle (Christina), Rene Gemperle (Christi ), Eric Gemperle and Marc Gemperle (Brittany) and their children Justin, Nevaeh, Jayden, Olivia and Rylee. Brother of Darwin Shields (Ricky), Larry Shields (Margaret-Ann) and Lorna Shields (Ian). Also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents Andrew and Lyla Shields.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at Irvine Memorial Chapel at Roselawn, 2451 County Road 15, Maitland on Friday, July 10th from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. A ceremony celebrating Keith's life will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2015, at 11:00 am at the Irvine Memorial Chapel at Roselawn, Maitland. Officers and members of Sussex Lodge No. 5 will gather for a memorial service on Friday at 6:45 pm. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Brockville General Hospital Palliative Care Unit will be gratefully acknowledged.
