<p>MIDDLETON, Donald George</p><p>Don passed away at Brockville General Hospital on the evening of October 4, 2012 at the age of 71 years. By his side at the end were his loving wife Joy (Marjorie Joyce Garner) and a few close friends. We will all remember Don for his thirst for fun, gentle manner and sincere spirit. Don will be deeply missed by Joy; their son Scott; loving daughter-in-law Jill; granddaughters Caroline and Ella; his brother Bruce and sister Judy. Don was predeceased by his father George, his mother Margaret and sister Lorraine. Don, born in Peterborough, Ontario, graduated from Queens University with a medical degree and practiced ophthalmology in Brockville from 1972 to 2001.</p><p>Family and friends may pay their respects at the Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel, 4 James Street East, Brockville on Tuesday, October 9th from 7-9 pm and on Wednesday, October 10th from 1 pm until 2 pm when a celebration of Don''s life will be held in the Chapel with a reception to follow. A memorial service will also be held at a later date.
