Entered into rest peacefully at her home on Monday, January 25, 2010 at the age of 74 years. Wife of the late Roger Collins who predeceased her on July 25, 2009. Cherished mother of Karen Collins (friend Jo), Rick Collins (Dawn), Kim (Paul Hallyburton), Craig Collins and Brian Collins (Sabrina). Fondly remembered by 8 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Dear sister of Mavis Durant, Earl Atkins and Sally Ferneyhough. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to a gathering in celebration of Doreen's life on Friday from 1:30 -3:30 pm in the Irvine Funeral Home Reception Centre, 4 James Street East, Brockville. A private family graveside service will take place at Oakland Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Salvation Army would be appreciated.
