Peacefully at home on Tuesday, July 5, 2011 at the age of 83 years. Beloved husband of Janice (Carbino) McLaren. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and friends. Predeceased by his parents Alex McLaren (1897-1971) and Lillian Chambers (1903-1952); his sister Dorene Whitteker and by his brother Raymond McLaren. Visitation will be held at the Irvine Funeral Home, 4 James Street East, Brockville on Thursday from 2:30-4:30 & 7-9 pm. A service in celebration of Earl's life will be held in the Chapel on Friday at 11 am followed by a reception. Interment will take place at Spring Hill Cemetery, Metcalfe. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Brockville and District Hospital Palliative Care, Ottawa Heart Institute or Wall Street United Church would be gratefully appreciated.
