Passed away surrounded by her family, at the Brockville General Hospital, Garden Street Site on Thursday, October 23, 2014. Edna (Banfield) Lomond-Butler, at the age of 74 years. Edna is predeceased by her parents William and Mary Ellen (Follett) Banfield; her sisters Beulah (Enos) Grandy and Myrtle (Elijah) Skeard and by first husband Jordan Lomond. She will be fondly remembered by her husband John Butler; by her children Janice (Chris) Carroll, Bruce (Judy) Lomond, Glen (Edit) Lomond, Lori (Ken) Holliday; her step-children Ann-Marie (Pat), Debbie (Peter), Johnny (Denice), Cindy (Chris), Tammy (Mike), sister Minnie Banfield and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many friends.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel, 4 James Street East, Brockville on Thursday, October 30, 2014 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A ceremony celebrating Edna's life will be held on Friday, October 31, 2014 at 11 am in the Chapel. Interment will take place at Blue Church Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Brockville and District Hospital Foundation Palliative Care or the Cancer Society will be gratefully acknowledged.
