Entered into rest peacefully at the Brockville General Hospital, Garden Street Site, on Saturday June 2nd, 2018 after a life well lived, in her 91st year. Loving wife of 59 years of the late William MacDonald Fasken. Forever loved by children Jane (Clayton) Palmateer of Belleville; Warren (Lisa) Fasken of Whitby; and Graham (Nancy) Fasken of Kanata. Cherished Grandma to Richard Palmateer, Mark and Christopher Fasken, and Melissa and Branden Fasken. Predeceased by granddaughter Mikayla Fasken. She is predeceased by her sisters Marion Stocker (Bus), Betty Fothergill (Harold), and Durham Blachford (Elisabeth). Affectionately known as "Aunt Ellie" to many nieces and nephews and “Ellie” to her many friends. Ellie, worked as an administrative assistant at the University of Toronto for nine years then became a loving and caring wife and mother. After living in Toronto for many years, she moved to Tweed in 1968, and then to Brockville in 1984, where she spent her retirement years. She enjoyed several activities, such as golf, curling, painting and card games with her friends. She spent many enjoyable summers at the family cottage, on Mazengah Island in Muskoka. Mom will be forever remembered for her humor, wit and positive outlook on life.

We would like to express a special thank you to the caregivers at Wedgewood Retirement Home and the Brockville Hospitals. The care and compassion our mother received will not be forgotten.

Cremation will take place under the direction of the Irvine Funeral Home, Brockville with a “Celebration of Life” service and burial at Park Lawn Cemetery, Toronto at later date. As expression of sympathy donations can be made to the Brockville General Hospital Foundation, Palliative Care unit.
