Born in Lyn, Ontario on October 5, 1931 to the late Robert Callum Stevenson and Pearl Rachel (Hewitt), she was the youngest and only daughter of 7 children. Elizabeth was predeceased by her foster parents Fred and Edna Jarvis of Athens and by her husband of 42 years, Ronald K. Francis. At 16 she worked at Fulford Place and cared for the elderly until she married and started a family. Elizabeth is the cherished mother of 4 children, Deborah Dion (Claude deceased), John Francis, Sharon Spicer (John) and Carolyn Jenkins (Bill). She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren Aaron Hunt (Kathy), Jason Francis, Ashley Spicer (Glenn), Christine Plume (Phil), Caleb Jenkins (Laura) and Jacob Jenkins (Kate) and by her great grandchildren Cameron, Iva and Isebelle.

She fought a long battle with Kidney disease before her death on January 30th, 2020 at the Brockville General hospital. The family would like to thank the following for excellent care she received in the Kingston General Hospital kidney clinic and her home; CPHC, Care Partners and Saint Elizabeth, you were valued beyond words.

A private family celebration of Elizabeth's life will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes donations in her memory be directed to the Kidney Foundation or the Brockville General Hospital Foundation.
