Passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Friday March 9, 2018 in her 85th year. Predeceased by her husband Leslie (2012), loving Mother of Andy (Natasha) and wonderful Oma to Madeleine and Paige.

Ella immigrated from Germany to Canada in 1954 on the Seven Seas with her best friend Anne Kirkey (2010), having been hired as a Nanny for the Geller Family of A One Clothing in Kingston. A few years later she would move to the Brockville area where she met Les in 1959 and began working for Automatic Electric. Ella would choose family over employment and stayed home to take care of her baby boy Andy whom she adored. Ella was funny and always laughing, bringing laughter to others. In the years to come nothing would make her happier than spending time with her granddaughters and she will be sadly missed by them and her many friends.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at the Irvine Memorial Chapel at Roselawn, 2451 County Road 15, Maitland on Thursday, March 15, 2018 from 12-2 pm. A service in celebration of Ella's life will take place in the chapel at 2 pm followed by inurnment in the Tower Columbarium.
