Passed away peacefully at the Brockville General Hospital, Charles Street Site on Wednesday, May 13, 2015. George Elmer Towe, at the age of 87 years. Beloved husband of the late Mary Eleanor "Sally" Towe (nee Smith). Survived by his daughter, Kim Parker and by his son, Brian Towe both of Brockville. Cherished grandfather of Adrian, Dale and Michelle Parker, and great-grandfather of Thomas and Jaina Parker, Parker Sutherland and Emma Lee King. Also survived by his sister Elsie Garrett, his brother Lester Towe (Sunday), by several nieces and nephews and by his best friend Gladys Cauley. He was predeceased by his parents, Gilford and Margaret Towe, his brother James Gilford Towe and by sisters Alma Ferguson and Bernadine Baynham.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel, 4 James Street East, Brockville, Friday, May 15th from 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm. A ceremony celebrating Elmer's life will be held in the Chapel on Saturday, May 16th at 2:00 pm with interment following at Oakland Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation will be gratefully acknowledged.
