Entered into rest at Sherwood Park Manor on Thursday, February 26, 2009 at the age of 88 years. Cherished father of John Mitten (Peggy) and Mary Morrison (Roger) all of Athens, Gerry Mitten (Nancy), Terry Dawson (Late Roger Dawson) both of Malaysia, Randy Mitten (Krystal) of Texas and Tom Mitten (Tracy) of Newmarket. Sadly missed by 18 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, his brother Peter Mitten and his sister-in-law Bev Walsh of Cardinal. Also survived by step daughters Laura Moss (Paul) and Louise Blair (Ian). Predeceased by two wives Peggy Mitten and May Mitten and by his sister Dorothy Quinn. Family and friends may pay their respects at the Irvine Funeral Home, 4 James Street East, Brockville on Monday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. The Liturgy of the Christian Funeral will be held at St. Mark's Catholic Church, Prescott on Tuesday at 11 am. Interment at St. Mark's Cemetery in the spring. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Sherwood Park Manor would be gratefully acknowledged.
