<p>George Franklin Burchell passed away peacefully on December 18th, 2015 at St Lawrence Lodge in Brockville, Ontario in his 88th year. </p><p><br></p><p>George Burchell is survived by his children: Elizabeth Orr (David), Catherine Luey and Douglas Burchell. He is preceded in death by wives Shirley and Ruth; a sister Audrey and brothers Douglas, Orville and Cecil. Sadly missed by niece Diane Saunders (David) and nephews Andrew, Dustin and Michael. Known as Poppa George to grandchildren Pam Burchell, Jonathan Orr (Scarlett), Patricia Burchell, Kevin Orr, Nicole Bunt, Alex Luey and 8 great-grandchildren.</p><p><br></p><p>Cremation has taken place and a service in honour and celebration of George's life will be held at Centennial Road Church, 3545 County Road 27, Lyn on Saturday, January 9th, 2016 at 11 am followed by a reception. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Multiple Sclerosis Society will be gratefully acknowledged.</p>Obituary
