Gerbrig "Gail" Rutgers

Passed away peacefully at the Brockville General Hospital, Charles Street Site on Sunday, August 11, 2019. Gerbrig (Gail) Rutgers, at the age of 90 years. Beloved wife of Willem and dear mother of Shirley Schmidt (Rick), Fenna Zylstra (Bill) and Rita Deines (Brian). Also survived by eleven grandchildren and twenty-four great grandchildren. Predeceased by her son Harry (Linda survives) and by a sister Hendrikje Verburg. Predeceased by two brothers Abe and Rintge Bakker.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel, 4 James Street East, Brockville on Friday, August 16, 2019 from 6-8 pm. A ceremony celebrating Gerbrig's life will be held on Saturday, August 17, 2019 at 10 am at the Bethel Christian Reformed Church,117 Windsor Drive, Brockville. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Heritage Community Christian School or Lanark, Leeds and Grenville Alzheimer Society will be gratefully acknowledged.
