Gently and peacefully at home with family and friends on Friday, Oct. 7, 2016 in her 80th year. Born in Germany and immigrated to Canada and became a Canadian citizen in 1969. Married and settled in Laval, Quebec having 3 children. She moved to Brockville, Ont. in 1988. Gisela is survived by her daughters Debbie in Vancouver; Carol (Ernie); granddaughters Jessica Powell Herwayer (Eric); Virgina Powell Zufelt (Kyle) and great grandchildren Nathan, Emily, Rylynn, Hanna and Jaxon. Predeceased by her son Henry in 2015. Special thanks to the many caregivers who made it possible for Gisela to stay at home with her daughter Carol and son in law Ernie. Special thanks to Dr. Jaworski and Cheryl from the Palliative Care team and to the home care nurses from Bayshore and everyone else especially Lindsay, Jennifer, Michelle, Sarah and others. Thanks to case manager Karen Abbott Gregory from CACC for all her support, E nurses from St. Elizabeth and Medigas. Thanks to Dr. Brooks office and all caregivers on the second floor at BGH Garden St. Site along with Dr. Musset.
