Glenn McNamee

The McNamee family is saddened to announce the sudden passing of Glenn on Wednesday, August 26, 2009 at his beloved cottage on Hog’s Back Island, Charleston Lake, at the age of 67 years. He is the son of the late Michael McNamee and Annabelle McNamee (nee Perrin); the beloved father of Patti McNamee (Steve Kearney) of Brockville, cherished grandfather of Danielle, and dear brother of John (Jack) McNamee and his wife Sandi of Napanee, and Melanie Payne and her husband Dennis of Picton. Glenn will be fondly remembered by his former spouse Sheila VandePol, his very dear friends Gerald and Cheryl Wykes, and their three sons Mike, Brian and Paul; by his sisters-in-law Bonnie Bellemore and Lori Gauthier (Rob) and by several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his nephew Glenn McNamee and his mother and father-in-law Doris and James Lapierre. Family and friends may pay their respects at the Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel, 4 James Street East, Brockville on Sunday, August 30th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A ceremony in celebration of Glenn’s life will be held in the Irvine Chapel on Monday, August 31st at 11:00 a.m. with interment to follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Maitland. In remembrance, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Interval House, the Leeds & Grenville Chapter of the OSPCA or the Canadian Cancer Society will be gratefully acknowledged.
