Passed away peacefully at his home in Johnstown on Thursday, June 9, 2016, at the age of 65. Gordon is predeceased by his wife Shirley (nee Darling), as well as his parents William and Annie Curtis of Athens; his in-laws Lyle and Irene Darling of Brockville and his siblings Ed, Evelyn and Eileen. He will be missed by his children Greg (Laurie daughter- in- law), Brian (Jen), Christina (Derek), and Cathy (Terry), as well as his grandchildren Brooke, Carter, Diana, McKenzie, Liam and Brayden. Gordon is survived by his siblings Dorothy, Margaret, Lillian and Donnie. He will be remembered by his extended family and friends. The family would like to thank Mary Anne Frenette for taking such great care of our father during his illness for the past few months, without her help it wouldn't have been possible to fulfill Dad's wish to stay at home. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel, 4 James Street East, Brockville on Saturday, June 18, 2016 from 1-3 pm with a ceremony celebrating Gordon's life in the Chapel commencing at 3 pm. Interment to follow at Oakland Cemetery. Donations to the Cancer Society will be gratefully acknowledged.
