Harold Westendorp

Entered into the presence of the Lord while surrounded by his loving family at home on Thursday, September 9, 2010 at the age of 77 years. Beloved husband of Ann (Verbaas, nee Poelstra) and of the late Susan (nee Beerda). Cherished father of Susan Juthman (Ralph) of Havelock, and Harold Jr. (Heather) of Oxford Mills. Loving grandfather of Philip, Esther and Michael Juthman, Chad Westendorp, and Jenn Westendorp and her son, Harold's only great-grandson, Hendrick. Also survived by Ann's children, John Verbaas (Lori Rees) of Ottawa, Alice Verbaas (Myron Zurawsky) of Toronto, Wendy Verbaas (Phil Hunt) of Vancouver and Isaac Verbaas (Heather) of Camrose along with Ann's grandchildren Ethan and Nolan Verbaas. Harold was predeceased by his parents, Herman and Grace Westendorp, as well as sisters Trudy Weistra his brother John and sister Grace van Dyk. He is survived by brothers and sisters Herman(Ann) of Dunnville, Bill (Marg) of Brockville. Henny Boddy (Roger)of Kingston, Harold ( Pam) of Brockville, Coby Kooistra (Robert) of Kitchener, Joe (Claire) of Joyceville, and Corrie Norman (Stan) of Plano, Texas. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at the Centennial Road Church on Sunday afternoon from 2-4 pm. and on Monday beginning at 9:30 a.m. The funeral service in celebration of Harold's life will take place at Centennial Road Church Monday at 11am with a reception immediately following. Private interment will follow in Athens Cemetery. In remembrance, donations to the Fix-it Team, or the Centennial Road Church will be gratefully acknowledged.
